COATER DESCRIPTION:
This coater consists of several primary components. The heart of the process is a doctor blade/Byrd bar which is motor driven on linear sliding shafts. The web stock is mounted on the flat table and the coating is put in front of the blade.
The blade has side dams and a fixed gap for the coating to pass through. As the blade travels at a very uniform speed, consistent and reproducible coat weight are obtained.
All parts used in coating are accessible and can be removed for "bare metal" cleaning. |
